Construction of the building was completed in 1795 - it is truly of wonderful architecture and internally well-furnished in period character theme, but there are also modern adaptions such as a commercial Wi-Fi system and ground floor integrated music system. The manor house has a total of 18 en-suite bedrooms which can accommodate up to 36 adults (additional Z-beds and travel cots available for children). Altamount Manor was recently occupied by new management and renovated to a superb standard. The house sits in private grounds with the only permanent residents being a family of peacocks. Where the building is secluded and away from the main road, walking to the town centre to find the local pubs, restaurants and a large Tesco store is only a 10 minute excursion.

The Manor boasts a very large function room with bar which opens out onto a patio with outside seating which in turn follows a path to the bandstand (perfect for an outdoor wedding), a grand period lounge, a separate traditional Scottish bar (which is another communal space for self-catering stays), spacious entrance hall, two dining rooms and an enclosed courtyard as well as the commercial size kitchen. Our Terrace room has everything you need to host a great wedding including; dance floor, plenty of seating and banquet tables available, with a PA system, mixer and disco lights, a fully stocked bar and large capacity segregated toilets. It is decorated with 4000 LED curtain lights and we have all the amenities to host a party, including DJ equipment and banquet furniture.
There is an additional charge of £500 for the rental of the function room. This will include all table linen, setup and DJ equipment.
